my journey 1 (what is Islam)

this year i'm going to be 20 and this is year where i am learning the understanding Islam, and i'm willing to share with you what I've learn, here i'll share about meaning of Islam and first characteristic of Islam, in simple word,

What is Islam?

Islam root word is aslam, salim, and silmun.
Silmun is security in terms for body and properties and classify in term of hereafter.
Salima is mean as peace or the feeling of safe and classify in term of mind and heart.
both of this root words define the feeling of peace in this worldly life and hereafter.
Where as, Aslam can be derived as submission, surrender or obedience.

Submission, surrender and obedience

In term of submission, there are two types of submission, willingly and unwillingly.

Unwillingly or compulsory or involuntary: by any mean must be done.

This term refer to everything in this universe (including man).
Big part of universe don't posses mind to think and follow the only path written for them.
Sun is burning for living thing benefits, and continue burning without a though of bore. 

Willingly or optional or voluntary: it up to you to do or not.
Some or parts of Islam is optional to believers on doing it.
This only refer on man and jinn because we given a mind to think (aql).
And we will be judged in hereafter.

Technical meaning

Islamic scholar define Islam as:

to testify the oneness of Allah and the prophet hood of Muhammad, 

to perform five daily prayers, to fast during Ramadhan,  to pay zakat, and to perform hajj.

Characteristics of Islam as a comprehensive religion

1 Rabbaniyyah (godliness)

2 Insaniyyah (humanity)

3 Syumul (comprehensive)

4 Wasatiyyah (moderation)

5 al ithbat wa al murunah (stable and flexible)

Rabbaniyyah (Godliness)

godliness is first characteristics in Islam, but there is no godly person in Islam, godly person is someone known as medium for example pop in christian or rabbi in judaism.

objective of rabbaniyyah:

to please Allah, to get Allah pleasure with act of worship

source/of rabbaniyyah:

- belief/creed

-worship

-morality

-laws

benefits of rabbaniyyah:

1 one will know mission of life, moving with guidance

2 guidance of nature (fitrah), to search for truth

3 peace of mind

4 lust and desire guided
